ETA Studio

founded 2016

ETA Studio is a residential architectural design firm founded by Evan Taurins in 2016. The studio’s work spans renovations, additions, new houses, laneway houses, and cottages, with more than three dozen completed projects to date.

Grounded in craft, experience, and concept, the practice is particularly interested in the dialogue between old and new.

Having managed construction on many of the firm’s early projects, Taurins developed a practical understanding of how complex residential work is actually built—especially within the constraints of Toronto’s century-old housing fabric.

Taurins holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honours from the University of British Columbia.
